The 8th International Conference on Engineering of Computer-based Systems (ECBS 2023) was organized by the Mälardalen University in Västerås, Sweden, on October 16-18, 2023, with the theme “Engineering for Responsible AI”.

This conference gathers researchers from various fields of system and software engineering. The research conducted within the Horizon Europe project TaRDIS was successfully presented at the conference with the following two publications:

  1. “A Federated Learning Algorithms Development Paradigm” by Miroslav Popović, Marko Popović, Ivan Kaštelan, Miodrag Đukić, and Ilija Bašičević. (Accessible as a Pre-print)
  2. “Correct orchestration of Federated Learning generic algorithms: formalisation and verification in CSP” by Ivan Prokić, Silvia Ghilezan, Simona Prokić, Miroslav Popović, Marko Popović, and Ivan Kaštelan. (Accessible as a Pre-print)

The paper on “Correct orchestration of Federated Learning generic algorithms: formalisation and verification in CSP” received the best paper award which emphasizes the high level of quality of TaRDIS research that was conducted in the first year of the project.
